Janathipathyam

Janathipathyam is a 1997 Indian Malayalamfilm, directed by K. Madhu and produced by M Mani. The film stars Suresh Gopi, Urvashi, Balachandra Menon and Vani Viswanath in lead roles. The movie opens with the communist party winning the election, but the Chief Ministerial candidate has lost the election. The party chief proposes the name of Ramadevan Nayanar aka RD Nayanar (Suresh Gopi), a former Kerala cadre IPS offcier, who was dismissed by the previous government due to the influence of the villains, including some in the police, like City Commissioner Maya Pillai (Vani Vishwanath), and DIG Varma (Rajan.P.Dev). RD returns to Kerala and takes over as the CM, after which he uses his powers to take down his enemies with the help of his wife Indira IAS (Urvashi), and his former colleagues in the police force. What transpires later forms the crux of the story.

Lelam is a 1997 Indian Malayalam-language crime film directed by Joshiy and written by Renji Panicker. It stars Suresh Gopi, M. G. Soman, Siddique, N. F. Varghese, Nandini, Maniyanpilla Raju, Vijayakumar, Spadikam George, and Kaviyoor Renuka in the lead roles. It was also the last film of the veteran actor M.G. Soman. Suresh Gopinathan (born 26 June 1959), commonly known as Suresh Gopi, is an Indian film actor, politician, and singer who has starred in over 200 Malayalam films. He currently serves as a Member of Parliament (M.P.) in the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of the Indian Parliament.   Suresh Gopi was born in Kollam, Kerala to Gnanalekshmi Amma and Gopinathan Pillai, a film distributor, as their eldest son. He has three younger brothers - Subhash Gopi, Sunil Gopi and Sanil Gopi (The latter two are twins). He had his primary education from Infant Jesus School Kollam. He pursued M.A. in English literature from Fatima Mata National College, Kollam city.
